Pensions Solicitor or Associate

About the team

We are looking for a Pensions Lawyer (Solicitor 0-1 yrs PQE or Associate 2-5 PQE)  to join our exemplary Pensions team, which is consistently ranked in the top tier by both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.  Our team “has ‘excellent industry knowledge’ and provides ‘practical and pragmatic’ ‘first-class advice’ on pensions in the regulatory field.” (Legal 500)

The team provides advice to both public and private sector clients on all aspects of Pensions law. Our practice is largely free-standing, with only a small proportion of our turnover derived from corporate support work.

About the role

Our client advise trustees and employers on non-contentious and litigious matters. We also assist trustees and private and public sector clients with defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid schemes (whether opened, closed or in winding up) with all aspects of: 

  • Specialist pensions legal advice
  • Pensions disputes
  • Document drafting


Flexible working options

  • Full time with one day a week at home once established in role
  • Four days a week (with option of one day a week at home once established in role)
  • Option for a couple of school drop offs/pick up a week
  • Early or late starts 

About you

Our client is looking for an excellent academic record and evidence of 'hands-on' pensions experience gained at a professional firm with a first-class reputation for pensions work. 

You should be a strong team player and be able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively, as the successful candidate will enjoy a variety of work in different areas of the department's practice. 

Experience in the supervision and bringing on of junior lawyers would be advantageous.
