Senior Web Developer

Our client are a Global leader in Organisational Effectiveness, with industry leading technology, they are based in Central Bristol and have a suite of products they provide to their clients

    Due to growth and to support their ambitious expansion plans, they are currently in the process of rewriting their existing products and also of creating new systems that take advantage of the latest technologies in both PHP and Javascript, focusing specifically on Symfony and Drupal 7 (upgrading to Drupal 8).

    In order to continue this and to help them maintain their position as a market leader in the higher education sector, they are looking for a senior developer to join their growing team, to support their live applications and work on some great improvement projects, including reporting, which include Drupal 7 based applications.

    Salary - £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

    Should haves for this role:

    • 4+ years of professional programming experience
    • Fluent in at least one of the following OOP languages: PHP, Javascript, Ruby, Python, Java (Preferably PHP & Javascript)
    • Familiar with Symfony and also one of the following PHP frameworks; Zend Framework, Laravel , Drupal 7 (referably also 8)
    • Familiar with one of the following JS frameworks Vue.js, React.js, Angular.js (Preferably Vue.js)
    • Familiar with CSS Pre-Processors (Preferably SASS)
    • Familiar with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
    • An understanding of the benefits of unit testing
    • An interest or experience of working in an Agile environment
